RN Case Manager - Emergency Center Department: Central Intake & Assessment Schedule: Full-Time Shift: Flexible Hours: Evenings/Nights included Job Details: - Bachelors Degree Preferred - Current Nursing Licensure Responsible for the assessment of admissions for medical necessity, level of care and identification of initial discharge needs for patients admitted to PPMH through the EC. Collaborates with physicians and staff in the EC to implement discharge plans in lieu of admission when patients do not meet the established criteria for admission and patients needs can be safely and effectively met in alternative setting. The position includes Bed Control functions as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferred or knowledge commensurate with a Bachelors Degree required Must maintain a Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia. Minimum of three (3) years recent acute care experience with relevant clinical experience in the emergency center setting required
