Solicit, review, reject or approve applications for new commercial lines risks, capitalizing on short lead time opportunities. These activities will take place in the offices of our agent-customers, in remote field offices, and on occasion, in the regional office. Communicate with agents, insureds, and Company personnel (verbal and written). Assist the region in agency reviews and identify both the profitable and unprofitable agents. Educate and train agents and their staffs on UMICO's products and pricing. Conduct product seminars as necessary. Assist Marketing representative in formulating a business plan for each agency. Share plans for each agent with regional management teams and underwriters. Monitor results and communicate with agency and regional personnel. Provide leads to your agents on new business opportunities. Assist in renewal decisions on select files within assigned territory. Carry out additional responsibilities as directed 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
