Position Available: Activities Assistant Compeer for Kids is a youth mentoring program funded through the Albany County Department of Children, Youth and Families. Compeer for Kids is a Prevention program, serving 10 families in Albany County with at-risk youth aged 7-12 years. The current job opportunity is part-time with hours of 2:30pm - 6:30pm Monday through Friday. The position is a 20-25 hour per week commitment. This is a year-round position, including summers and some school holidays. Responsibilities include helping children with homework, facilitating group activities for youth and their families, and assisting with transportation home for the children in company vehicle. Qualifications: experience working with children and a background in Human Services a plus. Candidate must be flexible, dependable, creative, and willing to work with difficult children. Must have own transportation and valid drivers license to assist with providing children with transportation home.
